For this project I tried to have a good composition in all of my photos by following the rule of thirds. I also made sure that the contrast and exposure were good so that the image wasn't washed out. I also experimented with different depths of field to create an interesting variety of images.

Summary:

For the visual puns it was really important to concentrate on the angle of the shot along with following the rule of thirds. When putting the compositions together in photoshop it made it look more realistic once you adjusted the brightness and contrast and made them black and white.

Visual Pun "Love is Blind"

For my visual pun I did Love is Blind. I tried to desaturate most of the photos, along with color emphasis. I also tried to use texture and contrast with their plaid shirts, and the background. Finally, i think I could have worked on rule of thirds more.

For this project i shot eye related puns. I shot a bunch of different eyes and then shot all of the objects that were to become the pupils at different angles. For the D-eye-nosuar one i got a low angle of the chicken nuggets and then used photo shop to select the areas that i wanted to use. To maintain clarity for the upclose eye shots i used the macro setting on my camera and later cropped them for composition.

Surreal Pip

For the Surreal Montage Project I used a variety of techniques including Double Negative, Adjustment of Brightness and Contrast, and the Smudge Tool. These techniques contributed to the Surrealism of the Project.

For this project i shot my subjects at different angles to create some interest when they were combined. I cropped for compositon with most of my photos. My favorite one was the car with the woodchip paint. For this one i erased all around the car to create the textured look. I did a similar thing with the house picture and played with the opacity as well. for all of my pictures i used the selection tool to pick my favorite part of one picture to place in another.

Surreal

For this project I had to concentrate on the perspective of all the shots in order to get the right look. The use of the layer mask was key in putting these surreal montages together. I used many filters in order for the pictures to come together and look like one shot. In all the photos, the brightness and contrast had to be adjusted in order for the pictures to look like they both are in the same shot.
