This one did not make it in for some reason.

For the double negatives I created, I made all the elements I shot go together or have a theme. I used the value between the dark drain net and the shiny silver candle cover to compliment each other. The texture of the sponge and the bubbles in the water show relation to each other because you normally use sponges in water. By not using any space between the q-tips and the q-tip holder it puts them so close together that the holder really stands out. The curved lines in the cap picture and the shape behind it gives it a real feeling like you know how it feels just by looking at it.

color emphasis

For this project I increased the contrast and it some cases the brightness of the pictures. With the icture of the wooden people I had to use the burn tool on the woman's white dress so you could still see the detail. I also used the Rule of Thirds to have good composition.
For the color emphasis project i used the focal point to emphasis the color. I also used the rule of thirds. I focused on the texture a lot because it was good in these pictures. I took one peice in the picture and emphasized it, this worked out very well in my composition.

For the color emphasis project, I tried to use a good rule of thirds as well as contrast so that the black and white wasn't washed out in my compositions. I also think that texture is very important, which I tried to use in the cow picture, and the flower picture

Double Negative

For this project we used the Double Negaticve Principal. We Desaturated the photos, turning them black and white and changed the Composistion to better the photos. I also used the Rule of Thirds to create Emphisis in certain areas in each photo.

I enjoyed the double negative project. I desaturated all of my photos for it, because I found that melding two images together worked better on a grayscale. All together my four photos fit well together, perhaps the kitten one not so much. But they all share the same composition elements of lighting and position, and fit well together. I was happy with how all of my pictures were developed, they might have been a little under exposed though, I feel that I lacked black blacks in each photo.
